A crowd-sourced microsite and hit music video

What makes Malaysia a wonderland? That's the question Samsung asked Malaysians in an effort to encourage them to celebrate their culture. Partnering with singer/songwriter Yuna, Samsung asked natives to submit stories, doodles, photos and videos captured and created on their Galaxy Note II that show what the country is all about. These ideas inspired the whimsical Galaxy Wonderland microsite that featured a Yuna music video for the song "Home," which was shaped by her favorite submissions.
Yuna posted weekly video logs on her Facebook page to promote the campaign and drive submissions. The microsite grew from users’ creations and went on to inspire the set for the music video for Yuna’s “Home.” When the video launched, viewers could pause the video and explore any frame to see how their entries influenced it.
Launch date: January 12, 2013
Approximately 265,719 unique visitors explored the microsite. To date, the “Home” music video has received more than 472,000 hits.
